Kannibalen Records revives summer compilation with ‘Kannibals at the Beach Vol. 2’

Kannibalen Records has launched its largest compilation to date with Kannibals at the Beach Vol. 2. Chock full of hard-hitting bass cuts from promising up-and-comers, the compilation is comprised of 13 tracks from artists such as Felmax, ANTIHERO, WODD and more. Encompassing multiple genres, the compilation bridges the realms of dubstep, drum and bass, electro and more.

Several of the artists on the compilation spoke about their tracks on the EP, with Felmax, ANTIHERO and High Zombie chiming in. Explaining his process on creating “Kunai,” Felmax delved into how he made the track, saying,”

“Kunai is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever produced! It’s inspired by Naruto. I wanted to make something that was heavy and aggressive with a nice bounce, I experimented with some saturation and got the lead bass on the tune and instantly knew where to take it! To me the trickiest part believe it or not was writing the intro and build as the tension building for it had to match and not take away from what the drop was doing. I play it out in all my sets now its one of my fav songs to play, beyond happy to have found such an amazing home for it in Kannibalen! Thankful for the entire Kanni team for making it possible, truly excited to share this with everyone finally!”

High Zombie elaborated on “Misery Potion” with Frantik and Bainbridge, saying,

“Frantik and I started Misery Potion after Fatal Motives [Subsidia] – we ended up sending it to the homie Bainbridge who redid the first drop sections. It was a tedious 3 way collab in which we spent about 3 months creating and finishing.”

And lastly, ANTIHERO spoke on “ANCIENT,” saying,

“This song is the start of who I really am as an artist. When I wrote this song, I couldn’t stop smiling from the thought of how it’s going to sound on festival level speakers. I can’t wait to continue showing the world what I’ve got.”
