Thomas Xavier debuts 14-track album ‘Pharoahs’s Alchemist’

Prolific doesn’t eve begin to explain Thomas Xavier. His meteoric rise is punctuated by his latest album, an extensive 14-track journey titled “Pharaoh’s Alchemist.” His 11th release this year alone, Xavier showcases his knack for versatility, crafting tracks across the spectrum of Bass House, G-House, and Tech House. It’s no secret that Xavier is shaping the bass house landscape, especially in the Midwest US. Over a short span of 18 months, he’s rubbed shoulders with industry giants, having supported acts like Ghastly and Nostalgix. And his brainchild, the Pharaoh Phonix label, testifies to his industry acumen, amassing over 3 million streams since its 2022 inception.

The album ties Xavier’s bass house roots to the theme of rediscovering ancient pasts through rhythmic melodies. There’s so much variety on the album it’s hard to pin down the sound. A unique blend of harrowing electronica, Xavier fuses bass house, tech house, and G-House into a whirlwind of industrial sounds.

The opening track ‘Monsta’, with its vibrant hip-hop vocal hooks, and ‘Be Like VR’, which kickstarts his bass project Khuphu, underscore his impressive sonic range. Then there’s “Looking at You” a funky deep house jaunt with a sultry top line, “Smoke Up the Blem” and “Bad Boyz” featuring RONCO that stand out in the 14 track menagerie. There isn’t a single track on the album that doesn’t have hooks to sink in — no matter your genre of choice — if you’re likely to get caught in a groove — The ‘Pharoah’s Alchemist’ will have you trapped.
