Jimmy Pé returns—stream the ‘Blip Blop’ EP
Jimmy Pé‘s Blip Blop EP hits digital streaming platforms courtesy of Slow Roast Records, treating listeners to a mix of tech house, bass house, and mid-tempo beats. The EP reflects Pé’s kaleidoscopic sound, with his signature blend of dirty, chopped beats and flighty vocal samples. The opening track, “Big PaPa,” stands out; on it Pé takes an unconventional route, using his own voice as a sample for the very first time.
Pé’s work has gained attention from industry figures such as Alison Wonderland, A-Trak, and Flying Lotus. The music video for the title track, “Blip Blop,” depicts Pé as a mechanical engineer facing a malfunction in a warehouse. The video—a climactic addition to Pé’s library of music videos—adds a visual layer to the EP. Watch the visual and stream Blop Blop below.
