Wavefront Music Festival officially canceled
Since February, Wavefront has been fighting a battle against local residents after last year's festival left the community with a bad taste in its mouth and a buzzing in its ears. The Chicago-based beach festival has been under scrutiny for its noise and traffic violations in 2013. In response to complaints from the surrounding community, Wavefront was rumored to have sought new real estate further down the Chicago coastline. Lauryn Hill stuns fans during Skrillex’s SuperJam at Bonnaroo
As would be expected, Skrillex's Bonnaroo SuperJam was anything but ordinary. Consuming the festival Saturday night, the SuperJam concept brought guest-after-guest onstage for a marathon set with cameos from Warpaint, Janelle Monae, Robby Krieger, and A$AP Ferg, but it wasn't until Lauryn Hill's appearance that the night became one-of-a-kind. Patrons had expected the list of performers to be extensive, but Hill's impromptu addition to Sonny's lineup was a big surprise, with the Grammy award winner closing out the show with a four-song set that included Bob Marley and the Wailers' "Jammin'" and the Fugees "Ready or Not."
