Watch This: Late Night Alumni – Sapphire (MK Remix)
While MK's remix of "Sapphire" is far from new, this new video treatment of the track isn't. Production of a music video to accompany a lyric track can follow one of two paths. It can either pay homage to the artist's (and remixer's) aesthetic, or it can throw convention out the window and bring in a visual narrative from out of left field. Thankfully, this video does the former.
Kaskade – Raining (Late Night Alumni Redux Mix) [Free Download]
If you were one of the lucky fans who were able to attend one of Kaskade's Redux tour stops, you might have been treated to the Late Night Alumni rework of "Raining." The track is being offered as a free download on his Soundcloud page, and is definitely a welcomed rebirth to a downright Kaskade classic.
Watch This: Late Night Alumni perform live at The Great Hall in Salt Lake City
Ever since their first album, Empty Streets, was released in 2005, Late Night Alumni have been working tirelessly to blur the lines between live and electronic music. Comprised of Ryan Raddon, Finn Bjarnson, John Hancock, and vocalist Becky Jean Williams the band melds trance-like vocals and euphoric string work with Kaskade's poignant electronic influence to create a sound and style that is truly transcendent. For those of us not always content with the same old CDJ/Mixer set up, LNA provide a welcome reprieve from the tried and true formula - proving that dance music can be created live with impressive results.
