TomorrowWorld announces second phase of artists for 2014 festival, adds Maceo Plex, Carnage, NERVO, Dillon Francis and many more
TomorrowWorld's sophomore jaunt in Georgia continues to expand with the announcement of the second wave of artists to grace its stages. The second artist announcement packs a heavier punch than round one, adding A-Trak, Carnage, Dillon Francis, NERVO, Sub Focus, Maceo Plex, Laidback Luke, Datsik, Ferry Corsten, Paco Osuna, Showtek, Zed's Dead, W&W and Tommy Trash to the top card. The under card is just as stacked, with Claude VonStroke, Bassjackers, Isaac Tichauer, Ookay, Lee Burridge and countless more rounding out a highly inclusive lineup that leaves no electronic stone un-turned.
Gab Rhome releases 'Deuce EP' on Sasha's Last Night on Earth imprint
Following releases on the labels of Guy Gerber and Lee Burridge, Gab Rhome joins iconic DJ/Producer Sasha’s Last Night on Earth imprint with the 'Deuce EP,' establishing the newly discovered talent as an act worth watching in 2014. His latest work comes in the form of a three-track EP of flighty and gripping house rhythms; “Let’s Keep This A Secret” starts things off with descending synth patterns over a punchy bass line, while “The Inevitable Intervention” taking a more brooding approach, readying a proper warehouse gem. “A Really Shady Place” – perhaps the standout track of the release -- rounds off the package with flawless rhythmic progression layered over impeccable percussion work. With such an impressive and growing discography this early in his career, Gab Rhome is showing that his splash in the underground gene pool is destined to be more than just a ripple.
Nicolas Jaar, Damian Lazarus and Crew Love close out Wavefront Festival Day 3 with force
Despite the abrupt news early on that Lee Burridge's scheduled Day 3 All Day I Dream stage was canceled (for reasons unknown), the final day of Wavefront version 2.0, gave Chicago fans plenty to write home about.
Luciano’s NYD set stuns Brooklyn crowd, sets bar high for rest of 2013
The underground world in New York was chock full of choices for New Year's Eve -- Lee Burridge and Moby, Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap, and PillowTalk, Francois K, Pat Mahoney, or Steve Lawler and Carlo Lio (to name a few) were all in town for the big night. None of these however, garnered more of a flurry of interest and excitement than the announcement that Luciano and a trusty crew of beatmakers would be throwing a Vagabundos party on New Year's Day.
