Steve Aoki and Linkin Park's long-awaited second collaboration 'Darker Than Blood' (the guys collaborated in 2013 for "A Light That Never Comes" is the latest in a long list of EDM/Rock crossovers. Skrillex and Kill The Noise did it first with Korn, Deorro teamed up with Travis Barker, Nick Hexum collaborated with the Disco Fries and even Diplo is working with Robert Plant. Just as hip hop artists jumped on the EDM bandwagon, it's now the alt-rocker's turn to re-invent themselves through gritty synthesizers and slamming kicks. Reviving the early 2000 Hybrid Theory rockers through the latest trends in EDM, Steve Aoki's "Darker Than Blood" is a fitting addition to both his and Linkin Park's heavy hitting discography. Meshing electronic elements with the nu-metal stars arena-rock vocals, Aoki's strikes a delicate balance that puts Mike Shinoda's vocals front and center in what is destined to be a surefire hit.
