It should come as no surprise that Major Lazer and DJ Snake‘s “Lean On” has skyrocketed to the very top of the electronic music sphere. Crowned as Spotify’s global song of the summer for soaking in the most plays between June 1 and August 31, the record is now officially Spotify’s most streamed song of all time. With “Lean On” having gone platinum in August — just five months following its official release — it would be an understatement to say that that the collaboration’s newfound status is well-deserved.
