Monstercat rolls out first compilation since its rebrand, ‘Uncaged Vol 4’
Good things come to those who wait, however impatiently.
Canadian electronic music label Monstercat christens “new music Friday” with Uncaged Vol 4, the first compilation to be released on the imprint since Monstercat’s division into two distinct brands — Uncaged and Instinct — in early January.
Uncaged Vol 4 is a hearty, heterogeneous sampling that showcases the diverse releases recently put forth by various Monstercat labelmates, including Slander, Pegboard Nerds, MYRNE, and more. The compilation charts a near two hours of play time, working in two previews of forthcoming but currently unreleased tracks at the mix’s midway and end points. The range and caliber of Uncaged Vol 4 resoundingly echoes Dancing Astronaut’s selection of Monstercat as our 2017 Label of the Year.
