Able Grey’s artist collective, Ex Medias, notches fourth installment in stylistically-diverse ‘WE ARE EX MEDIAS’ compilation series
Ex Medias, Able Grey’s avant-garde artist collective, has unveiled the fourth installment in its Ex Medias compilation series. WE ARE EX MEDIAS, Vol. IV contains sonic multitudes, canvassing melodic bass, drum ’n’ bass, riddim, dubstep, mid-tempo, garage, and house. And as on Ex Medias’ past compilations, this one is a testament to the diverse and dedicated talents that thrive within the collective. Each track reflects the individual artistic journeys of Ex Medias’ members, culminating in a colorful spectrum of genres. Simply put, there is something for everyone on WE ARE EX MEDIAS, Vol. IV, which welcomes originals from Grey himself, alongside Medyk, as well as JWILLI, Free Apollo, Emurse, and Flynninho, among others.
Originally focused on spotlighting underrepresented artists in Chicago, Ex Medias has transformed into a nationwide force. Beyond curating musical diversity, the collective now fosters the growth and development of its artists, providing them with the support needed to reach their full potential. As Ex Medias looks ahead, it will continue to champion existing members while expanding their influence.
