As Yellow Claw gears up for the release of it’s debut EP for Dim Mak, namesake A-side “Legends” emerges to continue the spiraling ascent of Holland’s finest contribution to the Euro trap movement. As the follow-up to a boundary pushing second installment of their Amsterdam Trap Music series for Mad Decent, Dutch peer Cesqeaux joins the trio for another fearless stab at tearing the genre a new one in 2014. Accompanied by Kalibwoy’s Caribbean prowess, the track unapologetically takes the triplet-laden sound into a more fierce and heavy-footed remit than ever before. Add varied melodic sense and a strangely accessible undertone to the sound and we once again find ourselves wondering where the sound is headed with such capable hands behind it. Yellow Claw are true legends of the trap game right now and if the aptly titled lead single is to be taken at face value, the Legends EP is going to pack a serious punch to the fertile remits of global trap music.
