Justin Jay unveils new remix of Disciples’ ‘They Don’t Know’
At only 22-years-old, Justin Jay‘s résumé is pretty impressive. The LA-based producer has already signed to Claude VonStroke’s dirtybird label, earned a spot on the Holy Ship! bill, and announced an upcoming EP on Catz ‘n Dogz’s Pets Recordings — all whilst attending college at USC. His hypnotizing, ominous style has skyrocketed him onto the map as one of the fastest ascending tech-house talents in the scene.
To launch his 2015, Justin Jay premiered his newest track, a remix of Disciples’ “They Don’t Know,” on Annie Mac’s elite BBC Radio 1 show. JJ enraptures listeners in a misty cloud of tech-house grooves complete with gritty bass throbs, addictive percussion rhythms, and spectral synth melodies. His remix flips any blissful elements of the original and replaces them with haunting yet refreshing cuts.
