Daylight to debut new deep house party; Sundown with Guy Gerber
In December of last year Hakkasan Group purchased a controlling stake in Light Group and 22 of its properties including Light Nightclub and Daylight Dayclub. Already responsible for MGM’s Hakkasan and Wet Republic properties, as well as Caesar’s brand new superclub Omnia, Hakkasan Group aims to differentiate Light from its other properties by focusing on a diversely-curated lineup rather than main stream superstars. Daylight, the nightclub’s complementary pool party is also being re-imagined with the introduction of the Sundown concept, the Strip’s first deep house day party headlined by Guy Gerber for its grand opening on April 26th.
The new weekly party, to be held every Sunday at Daylight, is the brainchild of brand development VP Zee Zandi, marketing manager Pearce Cleaveland and renowned producer Nic Fanciulli, who plans to bring a lot of his underground DJ friends along for the ride. Sundown hopes to shake things up in the City of Sin, providing a place for those who criticize the Strip’s lack of electronic options outside of the EDM. With Nic Fanciulli and Guy Gerber already supporting the party, Hakkasan Group’s latest concept will create another shift in the nightlife dynamic of Las Vegas.
