Techno mainstay Rune Reilly Kölsch continues to ride the wave of unparalleled success as he unveils the first single from his impending album, 1983. A steady followup to last year’s Cassiopeia/Papageno, “Der Die Das” arrives alongside “Two Birds” — a canorous pair that yields luscious layers amidst exquisite basslines and synthetic timbres. Whereas “Der Die Das” is structured around a gritty beat, “Two Birds” articulates an air of delicacy through subtle snares that soars beyond Kölsch’s darker house renditions.
