Last month, Jauz and Netsky shared an all-too-short preview of an unannounced collaboration between the two producers. Although just a brief live recording, fans of both artists were abuzz with the unlikely news of the two joining forces. Premiered today on Apple Music via Zane Lowe‘s Beats 1 radio show, fans can finally listen to the track, entitled “Higher,” in its entirety.

As was apparent in the initial short clip, the collaboration leans heavily to the bass house style of Jauz, which may or may not satisfy Netsky’s loyalists. The catchy, futuristic vocals, however, definitely sound like the work of Netsky, and give the track an air of sophistication that can be hard to find in the usual raging energy of the genre. Ultimately, the production quality is incredibly clean throughout, with each aspect having the space to shine without causing a lack of complexity.

Whether enjoyed by artists’ respective fan-bases or not, the track speaks to the year of world-class releases that both artists have ahead of them.
