SunSquabi – After The Rain (Original Mix)

2016 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for Colorado-based electro-funk outfit SunSquabi. After recently wrapping up a tour with All Good Records labelmates The Floozies, the trio released “After The Rain” as the third single off of their forthcoming Odyssey EP.

“After The Rain” is as funky a production as has come to be expected of the group, working syncopated percussion, guitar and electric piano riffs in throughout its swinging melody. In addition to their own original output, the group has been a frequent recent collaborator with some of the leaders of the burgeoning funk-infused live electronica scene. Their recent release “Odyssey” brought label boss GRiZ on for saxophone duties, and the fourth track off the Odyssey EP, “Tequila Mockingbird,” features Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic.
