Romania’s largest electronic music festival sold 11,000 tickets in 3 minutes
On Friday, fans blew through the first 11,000 tickets for the 2017 installment of Untold – -Romania’s largest electronic music festival — in under three minutes. The four day passes went on sale for a special promo price of 330 RON, generating about 746,000 euros during that initial window. It wasn’t nearly enough, though, leaving some 40,000 registered to buy the promo subscriptions and many others frustrated that they couldn’t — at least, not at the special promo price. It’s an impressive feat, especially considering that the lineup hasn’t even been announced to the public yet.
A new batch of passes will go on sale this week. The festival will take place between August 3 and August 6 of next year in Cluj-Napoca, central RomaniaΩ
The 2016 Untold brought more than 300,000 people to Cluj, and 10% of them were foreigners.
