DJ Snake brings out Future during headlining set at Ultra Music Festival

Headlining a major dance festival includes a special guest appearance at some point during the set. It seems like some obligatory, widely-accepted standard now. You can almost feel deadmau5′ sigh of despair as you read these words and run through all of the high-profile guest appearances in recent festival memory. Has it become a distraction or an expectation? Jack Ü famously partied with Justin Bieber and P. Diddy on stage at Ultra in 2015, Avicii and Drake have both had Madonna on stage. The list goes on from Flume to The Chainsmokers, and continues with DJ Snake and Future’s live tag-team during Ultra Music Festival’s final night in Miami.

In Ultra’s usual larger-than-life fashion, a sprawling hoard of fans were shocked to see the “Low Life” lyricist in his best “Thriller” jacket appear on stage. Emerging down in front of Snake, Future ran through a quick rotation of his hits including “Jumpman,” “Fuck Up Some Commas,” and “Mask Off” beneath a burst of fireworks and smoke. Guest appearance merit aside, the scene from Ultra’s final night gets pretty hype. Watch the video here.
