Amazon Alexa users can now listen to live BBC radio and podcasts

Alexa owners can now enjoy each BBC radio station and podcast via the AI personal assistant. The newfound BBC/Alexa compatibility enables both Echo and Echo dot users to not only listen to BBC supported audio shows in real time, but additionally permits listeners to “play,” “pause,” and “resume.” Alexa-enabled electronics owners can also skip back to a prior episode to catch up on anything that they might have missed.

The news is particularly timely for BBC Radio 1 listeners, who will consequently be able to stream live broadcasts from the station’s residents, the platform having just announced its 2018 residency class.
