GRAMMYS announce first round performers ahead of 60th edition

The Recording academy has announced the first round of performers slated to take the stage at the GRAMMY’s 60th edition taking place Sunday, January 28th. Pop stars Lady Gaga & P!nk, hip hop/R&B virtuoso Childish Gambino and country crossover Little Big Town are all slated to perform at the event.

The 2018 edition marks the first time since 2003 the event — which is set to take over Madison Square Garden — takes place in New York City.

Childish Gambino garnered five nominations including an album of the year bid for Awaken, My Love!. Lady Gaga received two nominations: one for Best Pop Vocal Album for 2017’s Joanne and another for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Million Reasons”. Little Big Town earned three nominations including Best Country Album and P!nk earned a single nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance.

The James Corden hosted event will also feature two-time GRAMMY winner Patti LuPone reprising her 1981 rendition of “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” and Ben Platt’s classic rendition of West Side Story in an exclusive Broadway homage acknowledging the musical contributions of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Leonard Bernstein.
