Ryan Hemsworth is an invaluable talent in the bass realm. There’s something about his sound design that is aurally pleasing, and his willingness to break boundaries in the low end of dance music have earned him a cultish global following.
Four years following his debut studio album Alone For the First Time, the Canadian stalwart has announced that he is ready to take on the sophomore challenge. He revealed that his recent collaboration with NewAgeMuzik, “Four Seasons,” will be making it onto the tracklist. The LP itself will be called Titled Elsewhere, and is slated for a September 21 release on Secret Songs/eOne.
He also put unveiled a brand new single featuring Joji dubbed “Think About U.” Its video is as enchantingly psychedelic as the song it accompanies, which takes listeners through free-flowing bass structures and verses that, when combined together, create a lounge-y atmosphere that prompts relaxation. Though falling on the mellower end overall, this doesn’t mean the track isn’t a heavy-hitter regardless; its heavy dosage of lo-fi bass ensures there’s energy maintained. It’s a balance Hemsworth is skilled at striking, and an expected motif of his upcoming LP.
