Hardwell adds a big house filter to U2’s ‘Summer Of Love’
U2 releases a slew of remixes of their single, “Summer Of Love,” from their 2017 Songs Of Experience album. Hardwell, who recently announced he’s planning to taking a break from touring, took a shot at a remake. Although the Revealed Recordings helmer is taking time off from his famously unending itinerary, he’s still releasing singles, and added studio time should be a direct result of a touring hiatus. Adding a big room ambiance with hard hitting drums and a strong lead synth atop rumbling sub bass, the Dutch DJ builds anticipation through lush synth plucks underneath Bono’s inspiring vocals.
The Irish rock band also enlisted talents of Robin Schulz, Tilt, Danny Stubbs, Howie B, Rusty Egan, and HP Hoeger for remix work. They’re currently in the middle of their U2 eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE world tour. Listen to Hardwell’s big room take on “Summer of Love” below.
