The Black Madonna is the embodiment of the busy DJ and producer lifestyle found in the world of house and techno. Somehow, between constantly touring and bringing justice to ticket scammers, the Smartbar resident-turned-international phenomenon has time to produce some of the grooviest house music around. Her latest offering comes in the form of a remix, putting a soulful spin on Silk City‘s collaboration with Dua Lipa, “Electricity.”
The Black Madonna uses Diplo and Mark Ronson‘s keys to channel a traditional Chicago house vibe, while beefing up the drums to make a powerful, club-worthy edit. Adding to her catalog of moody house tunes, the artist has created yet another weapon in her already impressive bag of tricks.
