Icarus and Real Lies forge a scintillating new vocal cut in ‘Man Of The Land’
Brotherly duo Icarus have fashioned an immensely grooving single alongside Real Lies in “Man Of The Land,” the second single off their upcoming EP This Must Be The Place. Real Lies’ trance-inducing vocals are the track’s central focus, which are folded around a mysterious three-note hook and stripped-down percussion to create a consistent effect. As it approaches its climax, further layers added in evoke a soaring feeling in listeners that results in a grin and feet firmly planted on the dancefloor.
Icarus have certainly found what’s worked for them in the studio. Their productions rack up abundant streaming numbers and are refreshing in construction. It’s their fusion of classic and in-the-box elements that have led to them being selected to open for RÜFÜS DU SOL whilst they’ve been on tour. This Must Be The Place is looking to be an EP that shows off the pair in their finest form. It’s set for a November 30 release on their new label home of FFRR (Full Frequency Range Recordings).
