Adventure Club links up with Modern Machines for euphoric Taking Back Sunday rework
The last leg of 2018 featured a whole lot of Adventure Club, including a remix of Virtual Self‘s “Ghost Voices” and an explosive Snails collaboration “Follow Me.” To keep things rolling, the Canadian duo enlisted NYC-based DJ Modern Machines — who’s coming off an official remix for Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero — and alt-pop trio Saint Slumber on their latest cover of Taking Back Sunday’s “MakeDamnSure.”
Released on Proximity, this talented group of musicians do Taking Back Sunday plenty justice. The vocals from Saint Slumber are impeccable, harmonizing perfectly for an aesthetically pleasing cover of the famed rock band’s original. When layered over some light piano and staccato leads, the perfect verse is born, building into a euphoric, synth-heavy drop.
Saint Slumber is on the rise and Modern Machines is coming off headline shows at Marquee NYC, E11EVEN Miami, and more, so expect this one to climb the ranks.
