Plastic Toy seemingly stars in the music video for he and DJ Snake’s recent release ‘Try Me’
DJ Snake is not a one trick pony when it comes to his sound, and releases like “Try Me” have continued to prove just that. The melodic track instills a sense of calm in the listener thanks to a flowing vocal backdrop and a simple yet intriguing note progression building around the singing. DJ Snake teamed up with label mate Plastic Toy, for the release, which came out on Snake’s own Premiere Classe. Now the producers have released the music video to accompany the track, and Plastic Toy is the star of the video.
A man receives a box with a pill and a doll with the words ‘Try Me’ labelled. He eventually gets the courage to try the pill, and he becomes a plastic toy instead of a human. As it turns out, there is also a female plastic toy in the box, who accompanies him on his adventure as a toy. They unsurprisingly fall in love, and the viewers watch their adventures around his full sized apartment. At the end of the video, the woman plastic toy is faced with the choice of whether to take a pill to revert her back to a human, which means she would no longer be with the plastic toy she fell in love with. Viewers are left with the unknown as the camera pans out at them staring in the distance, ultimately pondering the final and relationship changing decision.
