Watch Chance The Rapper perform ‘Ultralight Beam’ at Kanye’s Chicago Sunday Service

Weeks before the impending release of his ninth studio album Jesus is King, Kanye West has taken his Sunday Service live series to his hometown Chicago. The rapper also tapped fellow Chicago-native Chance The Rapper for his verses from The Life of Pablo‘s seminal “Ultralight Beam.” Despite the rainy conditions, Chicago’s Sunday Service remained a momentous affair nonetheless, with choir members geared up in rain ponchos. Other tracks on the setlist included “Jesus Walks,” “Father Stretch My Hands,” and “Drop It Likes Its Hot.” West has notably brought his Sunday Service to Easter Sunday mass at Coachella Weekend Two for an unforgettably holy conclusion to the festival.

Chance released his highly anticipated debut LP The Big Day in July. He announced show postponements to 2020 for the majority of his dates for his album tour, following the birth of his second daughter, Marli.

“When Kensli was born, I went on tour 2 weeks later and missed some of the most important milestones in her life, but more importantly I was absent when her mother needed me the most. At this point as a husband and father of two I realize that I can’t make that mistake again. I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli”, Chance wrote on Instagram.

Chance’s appearance starts around 28:30, or watch the full performance below.
