Grimes taps REZZ, Channel Tres, Tale Of Us, and more for ‘Miss Anthropocene Rave Edition’
Between giving birth to her and Elon Musk‘s baby boy and releasing her fifth studio album, Miss Anthropocene, 2020 was another jam-packed year for Grimes. Now, nearly a full year after the LP’s release, Grimes has spawned a complete remix album, enticingly labeled Miss Anthropocene Rave Edition.
The remix album features a diverse cast of electronic’s most capable, such as REZZ, who mans a re-imagination of Grimes and i_o’s “Violence,” Richie Hawtin, Channel Tres, ANNA, Tale of Us, and Modskeletor. Some Miss Anthropocene Rave Edition inclusions made the rounds before the remix album’s formal arrival, like Richie Hawtin’s rework of “Darkseid” and BloodPop®’s “We Appreciate Power” remix; however, the other nine tracklistings are fresh to fans’ ears.
Grimes has stationed herself firmly on the leading edge of the sonic scene, developing her ultra-unique sound for more than a decade. The success of Miss Anthropocene has proven that Grimes has yet to slow down, and this remix album shows fans just how diverse her style can be.
