NYC-based producer Dave Edwards teams up with Nashville-based singer Davis Mallory for a dance-pop bop. The two talents connected in late 2020 on Instagram and “Rescue” is the first collaboration to emerge from their serendipitous connection. It only took one memorable topline from Mallory and Edwards was off producing this delightful little ditty. An ode to the lonely, “Rescue” keeps things sweet and simple with soft guitar licks and an understated beat. The infectious top line is paired with a sparkling synths and a subdued instrumental that lets Davis Mallory’s vocals take center stage. This might be the first output from these two unlikely partners, but we’re hopeful more will follow.
