Premiere: Night Tales deliver ‘Thinking About You’ visual ahead of debut album
After four years together, Aussie duo Night Tales are prepping the delivery of their debut full-length studio project, Proof. Marked by a determined focus on their emerging production style, the pair have fine-tuned a sound that matches stirring chord progressions and striking lyricism, wrapped in uniquely emotive, calmative packaging. Proof aims to expound on these themes, starting with the LP’s lead single, “Thinking About You,” which now comes complete with a brand new accompanying visual. Directly inspired by the group’s first touring experience in the US, the duo told Dancing Astronaut,
“Our first adventure was leaving Australia in the midst of the pandemic to embark on our first US tour. What was meant to be two weeks of touring turned into three months of being stranded due to Australia cancelling all flights into the country.”
“Our new management team, Prime Artists, gave us shelter in Nashville for [six] weeks for the duration of our time,” said Night Tales. “We did find temporary residence in a derelict, old home in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee. Living on air mattresses and pasta—we truly felt lost and yearned for home. This experience was the inspiration behind our new single, ‘Thinking About You,’ the first ahead of our debut album.”
