TSHA shares second single, ‘Water’ from forthcoming debut album

TSHA has taken no prisoners this year in the lead up to her highly anticipated debut studio album Capricorn Sun. She’s linked with Diplo on one of this year’s biggest tracks “Let You Go,” bagged her own headlining North American tour, and landed on a Fabric Presents compilation as of late. Adding to her long list of victories after being one of Dancing Astronaut‘s Artists to Watch in 2021, the rising UK force delivers her second pre-album single ahead of October 7, “Water” via Ninja Tune.

The new release further colors Capricorn Sun’s tracklist shortly after lead single “Giving Up,” channeling a free-flowing atmosphere and features vocals from Malian activist and artist Oumou Sangare. Steeped in Afro-house inspiration, “Water” is a synth-forward, emotive excursion that sums up TSHA’s entrancing sonic style. Speaking to Zane Lowe on the track, TSHA stated,

“At the time, we were unable to clear Oumou’s vocals, which was gutted. And I thought I would never get to release this song. And that’s what led me down the path of making my other song, ‘Demba.’ But then finally, I was able to clear [Oumou’s] vocals. So I’m so excited that it’s a single and it’s going to be on the album.”
