Space Ducks travel home to STMPD RCRDS with follow-up original, ‘Basic’

Space Ducks finally have their “Panic” follow-up. If you can somehow believe, we’re rapidly nearing a full calendar turn since Martin Garrix introduced the outer space-led duo during his second Tomorrowland mainstage appearance back in July 2022. But in the time since, Space Ducks earned the title of Dancing Astronaut Artist to Watch in 2023, going on to deliver a slew of unofficial reworks, a co-remix of “Cocoon” alongside the STMPD label boss, and a take on “Hero” shortly thereafter. And now, Space Ducks can now add a sophomore single to their still-budding musical record, adventuring home to STMPD RCRDS for “Basic.”

Before Garrix would travel across the Atlantic Ocean to Miami, he went on a multi-stop run around India. And during his first stop, he already began firing off incoming label IDs, doing the very same as he did back in Boom and premiering another ID from Space Ducks. And “Basic” is the polar opposite of its title—although its a tongue-in-cheek nod to them being interrupted while attempting to create it—with Space Ducks digging further into the thundering bass-house approach that they’ve fine-tuned over and over again throughout the the past year. Stream “Basic” below.
