Michael Canitrot – Leave Me Now EP
After announcing the formation of Reepublic last week, Michael Canitrot is back on his own and releasing his latest song "Leave Me Now" in an EP complete with two remixes. The original uses vocals to carry the track into a calming melodic breakdown. The first remix by Ryeland adds a dubstep influenced electro bass line while stuttering the vocals to create a completely renvision the original's production style. DJ Meme keeps the feel of the original but reworks the beat to give it a more classical house feel with and without the vocals. You can grab the EP for $2.76 on iTunes or for $9.96 on Beatport which includes an extended mix - the choice is yours.
Sebastien Benett, Antoine Clamaran, Gregori Klosman, Tristan Garner and Michael Canitrot form Reepublic, release first single ‘Turn Off the Light’
These days collaborations in dance music are a dime a dozen, but when Sebastian Benett, Antoine Clamaran, Gregori Klosman, Tristan Garner and Michael Canitrot formed Reepublic something was distinctly different. Rarely do collaborations involve five artists whose solo careers are already as strongly established as this group. The idea for the production supergroup grew from idle discussions during the guys' frequent run-ins at airports and on tours, before finally culminating at last year's Miami Music Week. "We had a dinner together," the group reflects, "and came out of the conversation our common wish of joining the forces in the studio and play all together behing the decks. That's how Reepublic was born."
