Justin Jay‘s forthcoming Fantastic Voyage album may be a unique collection of songs split amongst multiple EPs and labels, but there’s a certain innately soothing quality that has drifted through all the releases so far. The latest track to come from Justin Jay & Friends, “What Do You Want,” is no exception.

Played for a beguiled crowd at last October’s inaugural Dirtybird Campout, the song is a mollifying vocal feature pivoted towards the electronic realm with its lush chords and distorted, gravelly echoes. The temperate mood elicited by the track is a fitting pair to the storybook sailing scene depicted in the album artwork that’s been accompanying these past few releases. Another song from Fantastic Voyage is expected to drop next week.
