Swanky Tunes & Hard Rock Sofa are the best in the business at creating the sweeping sounds in the bassline bar none. If you look at all their releases this year – “Smolengrad,” “Steam Gun,” “Feedback,” etc. you will notice that the bassline sounds similar, but is darn good every time. If they don’t make it in the DJ Mag Top 100 it will be absolute blasphemy (are the rankings even relevant any more?). The unique part of “Phantom” is that around 2:40 you get a Daft Punk influenced build up a la “Lunar.” We are glad to see that this tune is their debut UK release, these guys deserve to move up in the world at an intensely fast pace (just like their tracks).
