Avicii – You Make Me (Extended Mix + Throttle Remix)
Following the record breaking lead single “Wake Me Up,” Avicii originally debuted the Salem Al Fakir-assisted “You Make Me” prior to the release of his debut album True. The Swede breathes new life into the original mix with a slightly longer and slower to build extended mix which is certainly needed given the short runtime of the single. While the track’s original mix shines on a less energetic stage, Throttle‘s electrifying melodic touch has transformed the followup collaboration to “Silhouttes” into a track that shows to be handcrafted with the signature PRMD feel in mind.
Managing to chop the vocals and implement his own take on the lyrical message, the young Australian goes a step beyond typical remixing expectations, which not only displays the upcoming talent’s unrelenting meticulous production, but also the quality of releases we have been conditioned to expect from the Le7els camp. Blasting listeners back to before “big room house” became synonymous with compressed Vengeance samples, Avicii and his chosen production team continue to deliver the jubilant songs that typically break through the generic sound of the Beatport charts.
