Flume shares an inside view of his ‘Skin’ world tour
2016 has been a momentous year for Flume. His second album, Skin, has beaten the sophomore slump to become one of the most in-demand LPs of the year thus far. Singles like “Never Be Like You,” for instance, have earned plays on mainstream airwaves internationally. On July 19, Harley Streten began his extensive world tour in support of the album, which he will soon bring to North America and various European cities.
The Australian future bass maestro commenced his tour in New Zealand, where at the same time he began documenting behind-the-scenes footage to later assemble it into a series. Episode one found Streten drawing enough fans to fill up the Forsyth Barr Stadium, dazzling them with his new live set up and a selection of new and old hits.
Part two of the episode brings viewers to Splendour In The Grass, where he expressed the surreal feeling of closing out the first festival he ever attended as a fan. To celebrate, Flume brought out fellow Australian collaborators including “Never Be Like You” singer Kai. The full episode can be streamed above.
