Watch Flume’s entire set from Red Rocks [Video]
Every music genre eventually finds a venue with which it will forever be associated. Classical music aficionados flock to Carnegie Hall en masse, classic rock has a massive roster including legendary venues like San Francisco’s Fillmore and London’s The Cavern, and punk can trace its birth back to the venerable CBGB (RIP). Electronic music certainly has its own storied locations in meccas like Chicago, Detroit, and Berlin. However, in the current era, where synthesizers dominate the charts, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater is perhaps the most iconic venue.
Flume, in the midst of a massive world tour behind his colossal second LP Skin, recently stopped at the venue and put on a legendary performance. Those who attended will likely be retelling the story of the Australian’s performance for years to come but, luckily for those who didn’t, an enterprising fan recorded the entire set. While watching the performance online certainly isn’t the same as making the pilgrimage to Red Rocks, the video gives a firsthand look at the power behind Flume’s live act.
