Aphex Twin's 'Windowlicker' soundtracks new road safety advertisement

Aphex Twin’s ‘Windowlicker’ soundtracks new road safety advertisement

Aphex Twin’s iconic track, “Windowlicker,” has been exclusively licensed as the soundtrack for a new texting and driving prevention advertisement.

Drivers can miss a lot in 2.3 seconds, especially considering a car going 30mph travels 100ft on average during that time. This is why THINK! — a road safety division of the UK government’s Department Of Transport — picked up Aphex’s “Windowlicker” for their latest road safety campaign.

Hoping to raise awareness about the dangers of using a phone while driving, the 90-second video slowly reveals a jaw-dropping scene filled with over 100 pink felines the driver misses by looking at their phone. This occasion also marks the first time Aphex has allowed one of his tracks to be used in an ad.
