Good Morning Mix: Gareth Emery shares heavenly Diplo & Friends mix
UK trance king Gareth Emery took the reins at BBC Radio 1 earlier this month to craft his own Diplo & Friends mix.
During the course of his hour-long slice of heaven, Emery shares exclusive content from his label, Garuda, along with some of his current favorite tunes. He kicks off with longtime collaborator Ashley Wallbridge‘s “Forget Life” and leads the listener into a dreamy, synth-filled realm.
The mix takes some twists and turns, as he mixes in unexpected artists like A$AP Ferg and Lil Pump, but ultimately maintains a trance core with fan favorites like “Concrete Angel” and his collaboration with Standerwick, “Saving Light.” FIGHT CLVB also make regular appearances throughout the mix, woven in between tracks like Valentino Khan‘s “Feel Your Love” and Dillon Francis‘ rendition of Cardi B, Bad Bunny, and J Balvin‘s “I Like It.”
It’s available on BBC Radio 1’s site until Sept. 4.
