Zedd, 3LAU, Big Sean & more set to headline first ever blockchain-powered music festival
It’s 2018 and consumers can now purchase homes, art, and products with cryptocurrency, so why should music festival tickets be any different? This is how 3LAU sees it, which eventually led him to team up with festival promoter Prime Social Group and blockchain entertainment studio SingularDTV to put on the world’s first blockchain powered, and cryptocurrency-based music festival. The festival is named Our Music Festival, or OMF, and it is set to take place in San Francisco’s Civic Center Plaza on October 20.
At OMF, festival-goers can earn crypto-currency (OMF Tokens) by participating in the event’s community. This includes purchasing tickets, VIP upgrades, exclusive access, buying merchandize, concessions, and more at future OMF festival and partner events. By empowering fans to contribute to the festival’s ecosystem through their purchasing behavior, festival organizers are putting the power back in the consumer’s control. Now, the festival released its full debut lineup, topped by Zedd in the headlining slot, as well as 3LAU, Big Sean, Matt & Kim, and Charlotte Lawrence.
