Martin Garrix recaps journey through the pandemic to Electric Love in newest ‘The Martin Garrix Show’ episode

With less than a week remaining until Ultra returns and just hours before he unloaded 10 unreleased tracks at Lollapalooza Chile—including the long-awaited ID with ZeddMartin Garrix is holding us over until we’re back inside Bayfront Park with the second episode of his fifth “The Martin Garrix Show” season. After resuming his docuseries at the end of February with an inside look at the AREA21 album, the STMPD RCRDS boss has now reowound the clock to 2020 to go through all that’s happened in his life in between the pandemic’s onset and his first show in a year and a half.

Just about everything in Garrix’s day-to-day routine was put on hold when COVID-19 became part of the world’s daily conversation, and in the newest “The Martin Garrix Show” episode, he explains that he expectedly spent the majority of the start of the pandemic working on new music at his Amsterdam home. And it only snowballed from there, with Garrix showing clips of his time with Maejor for the AREA21 album, John Martin and Michel Zitron for “Won’t Let You Go“—where he also revealed that they were working on “another exciting project”—Bono and The Edge for their EURO2020 anthem, and Julian Jordan for “Diamonds,” which he ultimately debuted along with a bucketful of other IDs at Electric Love this past August.
