Giorgio Moroder remixes Coldplay’s ‘Midnight’
Producer-extraordinaire Giorgio Moroder lends his subtle touches to Coldplay's "Midnight." Originally produced by the equally impressive Jon Hopkins, Moroder's take on Chris Martin's autotuned crooning picks up the pace a bit, wrapping what was once an ambient soundscape in a cloak of soft synths and driving disco. Like many of his recent productions, Moroder evokes a sense of nostalgia on "Midnight," putting a modernized edge on the New Wave sounds of yesteryear and, at just over 8-minutes, the final result is truly breathtaking.
Red Bull Guest House finalizes 2014 lineup with Giorgio Moroder, Skrillex, Jamie Jones and more
The Red Bull Guest house wraps up its 2014 Miami Music Week lineup with a collection of day parties destined to make Ultra attendees experience a heavy dose of FOMO. After announcing an already awe-inspiring lineup for the hotel's Breakfast Club events, RBGH rounds out its week long list of parties with poolside performances from Hot Creations, OWSLA, Mad Decent and more. On Thursday, the Hot Creations crew takes over with Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Greg Pidcock, Mark Jenkyns and Anabel Englund accompanied by Canadian duo Art Department. Friday's event is a bass-heavy affair curated by the OWSLA crew and headlined by none other than Skrillex himself. Saturday is owned by Mad Decent and, while Diplo's name isn't officially on the roster, a "super surprise B2B DJ set" practically screams "Twerkfest 2014." Wrapping up the Guest House and Miami Music Week with A Club Called Rhonda, the legendary Giorgio Moroder brings Tensnake, Goddollars and Paradise along for the ride to close out one of the premiere events during this year's dance music takeover.
