Exclusive Premiere: Rusko – Starlight (Original Mix)
dubstep's most recognizable names follows up with an airy drum n' bass output "Starlight." Set to be released on his forthcoming EP, Lift Me Up, Rusko attaches an enchanting OWSLA-esque vocal sample to a smooth drum-laden foundation. Reminiscent of the sound and style that made him one of the best in bass music, "Starlight" represents the softer, more mature side of the woo-boosting producer exchanging heavy hitting kicks with ethereal melodies and gripping percussion that nudge, rather than punch, you into its bouncy groove.
Rusko joins OWSLA for release of drum and bass original ‘Takeoff’
Outspoken dubstep pioneer Rusko returns to original production duties with the premiere of his latest dubphetamine-laced production. Leaning heavily towards his drum and bass sensibilities, "Takeoff" samples Jay Z's "Encore" and delivers the frantic one-two punch of thunderous bass and speed-freaked dub that established Rusko as one of the pre-eminent voices in the bass music space.
Good Morning Mix: Rusko cooks up some Stir Fry 2
Woke up hungry? Instead of eggs and bacon, let Rusko cook you up some stir fry for breakfast this morning. His latest mix Stir Fry 2 showcases the dubstep pioneer's more playful side (and drawing skills). A strange two hours of tempo and style shifts, the tracklist embodies its namesake - a seemingly incomprehensible combination of ingredients from all corners of the bass music universe. The results of which create something absolutely delicious. What may seem strange and unfocused at first, quickly develops into a tripped out mix of bumpy bass and heavy reverb. Try something new, change up your morning routine, and enjoy some of Rusko's Stir Fry.
