Live Nation set to buy one half of Insomniac for $50 million
Rumors have been swirling in the dance music world for months about the future of Pasquale Rotella's beloved Insomniac Events. According to multiple unconfirmed sources, bidding wars had been taking place for quite some time (SFX even offered a reported $100 million for the company) but the Wall Street Journal has just reported Live Nation has won out for now.
Despite EDC lineup, Kaskade will not be performing
Earlier today Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas announced it's 2013 lineup. Among those names was Kaskade who, after seeing the official lineup, was shocked to see his name listed. Apparently a clerical error listed Kaskade as performing at this year's festival but the DJ quickly took to Twitter to dispel the claims.

Insomniac partners with Cream to bring UK the first ever Electric Daisy Carnival London
For the first time in its history, Insomniac will be partnering with England's pre-eminent electronic event producers, Cream, to bring the first-ever UK edition of Electric Daisy Carnival to life at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in England.
