Electric Zoo ’13 Artist Spotlight: Oliver bring West coast cool to New York’s hottest festival
Los Angeles-based duo Oliver have managed to encapsulate all of the dirty, sexy cool of LA's dance music scene and bottle it for easy consumption. Creators of the pervasive "MYB" off their Mechanical EP, Oliver's Fool's Gold debut quickly established them as two of the tightest groove technicians in modern dance music. Whether creating mixes with a casual strut, or going full throttle into the French electro heyday, Oliver are as daring behind the decks as their catalog would suggest.
Watch This: Oliver’s new music video for ‘Night Is On My Mind’
Oliver have held a well-deserved place in the sun since the release of their memorable Mechanical EP at the beginning of this year, and they've now offered up a taste of their visual aesthetics with the release of their music video for one of the tracks off the EP, "Night Is On My Mind." The Fool's Gold mainstays bring together an odd couple old man and young woman through light up shoes and disco beats.

Oliver – MYB (Kids at the Bar Remix) [Free Download]
It's been awhile since we've heard from Kids at the Bar, the duo whose remix of deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner's "Animal Rights" still remains one of the best renditions of the classic collaboration to date. The duo return to Dancing Astronaut's pages with a remix of Oliver's techno groover "MYB," taking the track on a joyride through unforgiving electro bends and a gauntlet of blaring horns. While Oliver's original may have used a more subtle approach to spring its trap, Kids at the Bar come at the mix head on, unfurling a tidal wave of frenetic pad work and Dutch-fueled bounce music.
