Daft Punk reveals one minute preview of ‘Get Lucky’ during SNL ad
Daft Punk fans not attending Coachella had a chance to glimpse a higher quality version of the teaser from Day 1 on television tonight. The minute long Random Access Memories advertisement aired on Saturday Night Live, as the Rolling Stones interview alluded to earlier (4/13). Thomas Bangalter explains their decision in airing traditional TV ads:
“When you drive on the sunset strip and see these billboards, it’s more magical than a banner ad,” Thomas says. “SNL is this part of American culture with a certain timelessness to it.”
Needless to say, the final “Get Lucky” release date will be a day long overdue.
