Red Rocks fan creates petition in opposition to 2015 noise regulations
Within the last year, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater has faced heat from nearby residents complaining of loud music during late night performances. In response, Denver sought to tighten its grip on the venue at the start of 2015, announcing its plans to impose regulations on noise levels at all performances, regardless of time of day. Further, the city would be given permission to ban any artist that violates its new sound policy.
As nearly any passionate dance music fan would do, a petition has been created via change.org in an attempt to repeal the city’s proposed adjustments to sound control. Backed by over 15,000 signatures thus far since January 9th, those who wish to get involved and maintain the burgeoning genre’s presence at Red Rocks can click here to sign.
