Watch the official trailer for French electronic music film, ‘EDEN’
Back in August, we caught wind of an upcoming film by the name of EDEN, set to depict the rise of house music in Paris and New York in the ’90s. Directed by Mia Hansen-Love and co-written by Sven Hansen-Love, the independent film is a semi-biographical narrative of a young DJ caught up in the swell of the burgeoning dance music movement in France and the US. The movie notably features the biggest electronic music duo of the time, Daft Punk, whom — in a generous gesture — licensed three tracks to the film for only $3,700.
EDEN has now received its first official trailer, giving a two-minute taste of its exciting ambitions. With plenty of Thomas and Guy-Manuel interactions already previewed, the film is making a point to highlight its depiction of the storied duo. Add on a historical narrative of house music and what will surely be a killer soundtrack, EDEN is shaping up to be a must-watch film for any true dance music fan.
