ATTLAS – TIff’s Theme (Original Mix)

Though ATTLAS is no longer shrouded in anonymity, each new release unveils a slightly different edge of his diverse production capabilities. His last release, an ambitious remix of Led Zeppelin, was bright, melodic, and even tropical-tinged. With “Tiff’s Theme,” the first track off of his upcoming Sin EP, ATTLAS reverts to the unlikely yet successful combination of uplifting and industrial found in April, off of his Siren EP.

Whoever Tiff is, she has inspired a masterful slow-burning study of contrasts. Pulsing synths and minimal percussion builds a dark techno soundscape, transitioning easily to melodic synths and light chord progressions. The first drop about two and a half minutes in employs one of the rarest sounds in electronic music- a Pryda snare done well. The full EP is out November 20.
